Operators in Entertainment City had already begun to complain about the impact of rising competition on their margins even prior to the Covid-19 crisis. Now, with the outlook highly uncertain due to border closures and the erosion of the VIP sector, they may have to contend with three new developments pressing ahead. The Mirage isn't alone in closing down for a few days each week or longer, whether hotel rooms only or all operations. Encore at Wynn Las Vegas has been closed from noon on Monday through early.
PHOENIX – While we're waiting to see if Arizona Governor Doug Ducey plans to renew, change, or expire his home stay order (which currently ends on April 30), almost all of the casinos in the The Phoenix region did this, extending their closings for at least the next two weeks.
